Thanks, Karen–I think Wendy does have some good stuff to say. I’m going to say WHEN a writer finds a good group…it takes persistence, but they’re out there!

Great interview. I love hearing about how other writers do critique groups.

Wendy made some good points. Critique groups are hard to find and even harder to keep going. If a writer finds a good critique group, it is a blessing.

Interesting about the critique groups not surviving past six months. My group started about eight months ago so I guess we’ve made it past the danger zone

No, but I’m looking for an online group now. It was mentioned in the kidlitchat on Twitter last night with Wendy. Maybe we’ll have enough serious people to start one!

I think it can be hard for some people to make time, but without the commitment it can be frustrating for the other members. It can be important to address situations like this if they go on too long! Did you ever find another group?

Nice interview – good points made about all being focused on helping others and actually critiquing work! I was in a live critique group, but only 3 of us were regulars. Others would only show up when they wanted something of theirs critiqued, but weren’t committed to helping others any other time – frustrating!
