The writing process can be overwhelming at times, but when I give myself permission to do some “sampling” and ignore my road blocks, I get over the wall and write again.
To quote someone else, “Read, read, read, and write, write, write.” I’m not sure if I have it correctly, but it’s what I remember so that’s what I do. Thanks for the reminder! Cynthia Weber

I use this technique when I have to edit as well. My fiance writes SF and Thrillers, so before I start editing his work, I read several novels of that genre. Each type of writing has a certain flavor and so I LOVE the term sampling.
